Purpose:  To Raise Funds to Support Our Scholarship Program!  Over the past 12 years, the Chapter has given 36 Scholarships to Highly Qualified Incoming Freshmen! See the Scholarship Recipients Tab.

Fund Raising:  As with All Alumni Chapters, there are Never Any Dues!  We raise funds through hosting events, e.g., Winter Social, Summer Event, Game Watching Parties, etc., and through Donations. Chapter funds except for Donations (earmarked for Scholarships) are used to support basic Chapter requirements which are kept to a minimum. Surplus funds are used to support our Scholarship Program.

Corporate Challenge Background:  For several years, we held a Corporate Challenge Fund Raiser specifically for enlisting support from Corporate Partners and Supporters of the Hokie Nation. Several individuals stated that they would like to participate, but were not Corporate or Business Owners.  We have renamed the Corporate Challenge to the "Scholarship Challenge".  We will be promoting the Scholarship Challenge Program later this year, which will provide for a wider range of participation to both Corporate/Business Owners and Individual Donators!

How to Donate: 3 Easy Ways!

    1. Donations made directly to Our Chapter are are not tax deductible! Business may be able to write donations off under other expense categories.  Specific donations made this way will be earmarked for our Scholarship program.

    2. Write a Check to the: "VT Foundation"; For: Williamsburg Area Chapter (WBAC) Scholarships. Send your check to us (we will send it to the VFT for you) at:

    3. Log-in to the VTAA at: https://webapps.banner.vt.edu/giving/academic_index.jsp

      a. Fill in the required information;

      b. Under the "Gift Information" Block; Chose the "Other Designation" option;

      c. Enter the amount of your Donation;

      d. In the "for" block, enter Williamsburg Scholarship # 871573.
